Eolo Perfido was born in Cognac (France) in February 1972 and currently lives in Rome and works all over the world. I am most impressed with the fact that Perfido first took a camera in his hands at the age of 28 and has only been working with photography for 6 years. His eye for interesting lighting and composition is breath taking for the little time he has been actually working with the medium. Many of his images evoke the feeling that they were shot at beginning of the century, saturated with sepia tones and shadows that fall away into obscurity.
“I arrived at photography quite late in my life, but fortunately passion has no time limit. I first picked up a camera when I was 28, little thinking that I would soon decide to never put it down again. Photographing has become something that goes quite beyond simply capturing an image and it has deeply changed how I experience life and those around me.
I am the kind of photographer who likes to take pictures of people and I attempt to improve my sensitivity on a daily basis so that I am able to delve more deeply into their inside image.” -Eolo Perfido
